 WHY BIBR?

Guests come to the Bay Islands Beach Resort for its folksy family-friendly atmosphere. On our expansive 44 acres of beautiful tropical beachfront & hills, we have only 15 rooms and 30 guests. We keep the numbers  small so that you can enjoy having only 8-12 divers on a boat, excellent meals, flexible scheduling and superb personal service. Our restaurant, bar, gift shop & water activities building meet all of your needs during your stay.

Many people return to BIBR year after year to dive, snorkel or explore this beautiful island. We offer three boat dives and snorkels a day to a wide variety of dive sites in the Marine Reserve on the leeward side of the island.  Unlimited shore diving and snorkeling is available in our famous Spooky Channel and Natural Aquarium Buoyed Snorkel Trail just off of our 450' sandy beach.  The dive operation is run to US standards and all dive masters are fully certified and insured.

 

WHAT IS THERE TO DO?

Roatan is best known for world class diving and snorkeling.  We have an incredible diversity of dive sites & marine life.  Even after a week of 3 dives a day, each day will bring something special to see.  You will explore wrecks, cuts, crevasses,  and walls.  Though Roatan is best known for its wide range of healthy fish and coral populations, we also have eagle rays, whale sharks, wild dolphin, false killer whales, and sea horses. 

There is plenty to do for non-divers who love the outdoors.  Included in your resort package is access to our 450' beachfront plus 39' acres with trails for hiking & birdwatching.  The resort offers add-on activities such as fishing, sunset cruises, intro to diving and snorkeling classes, fish ID courses for snorkelers & divers, tubing & much more.

Other activities include island tours, local shopping, fishing, and more.  Of course, lying in hammocks at sunset is a must!

All of our rooms are air-conditioned with private baths including showers or tub/shower combinations, porches with hammocks or rocking chairs, ceiling fans & views.
